The rankings are managed by the WBFSH General Manager, Nadine
Brandtner, and are calculated using validated FEI results in cooperation with the
FEI Headquarters in Lausanne (SUI). Only horses registered at birth into a WFBSH
member studbook are eligible to appear in the rankings.
The point allocations for the WBFSH breeders' ranking in jumping,
dressage and eventing work the same as for the well-known FEI RIDER RANKINGS. But
unlike the FEI Rider Ranking, which is dynamic, the WBFSH rankings run on a 12-month
fixed cycle, with points restarting at zero when the new ranking cycle begins on the
1st October every year. For the stallion rankings the points of each progeny in the
final WBFSH Breeder Ranking are added to give the sire his total number of points
and rank.
